Santa’s Workshop Dropoff | Dec 15 & 16
Santa’s Workshop: On Thursday December 15 and Friday December 16, please bring slightly used or new treasures that you would like to rehome. We are looking for books, puzzles, games, knick-knacks, jewelry, candles and art for dads, moms, sisters and brothers. We also need gift bags, tissue paper and wrapping paper. Please be mindful of the items you donate. They should be clean, in good repair, functional and in good working order. Please do not send any large items that are hard to wrap or bring home by students. No stuffies please. Drop off items on December 15 and 16th only, in bins provided just outside the main office.
On Tuesday December 20th parent volunteers will set up tables in the gym with the items (like a garage sale). Students will drop off their cash donation at the gym door and have 30 minutes to shop during their class's scheduled time. Parent volunteers wrap the items that students have chosen, and students take home their "shopping" neatly wrapped.
Students will be making gift labels at school. At home, please make a list with your child(ren) of who they are shopping for. Keep this list to people in your immediate household(s). For example John will shop for his sister, mom and dad. Alice will shop for her Mom, Step-dad, brother, Dad, Step-mom and step sister. Fred will shop for his Grandma (who lives with him), Mom, Dad and twin sisters.
We are collecting cash donations at the door. We suggest $1 per child. Students will be able to participate without a donation. All proceeds will go to the Calgary Food Bank.
